I lived in the old school masters house in Upper Takaka for 11 years, surrounded by the awesome mountain ranges of Pikikiruna. Whilst living there I became interested, not only in the nature of the place but, also the more resent human impact.
This love of the land led me to set up the Cobb Residency in 2011.
This year I was lucky enough to go myself.
What an inspiring experience!
I saw the march of modernity striding through the wilderness; Nature crawling back on her wake. Leaving behind nothing but relics, reminiscent of ancient civilisations.
